It is Reading Week here at western so we had a week-long break to work on our studies, so I have spent my time over the week studying and writing up my essay for my Understanding Archives class. My essay is based around how archivists go about valuing new materials acquired by archives. There are a lot more details surrounding the topic than originally expected so I feel as I have been writing the essay, that it will result in a very strong depiction of the process, which I have set in the perspective of a University Archives. I also feel that my personal understanding of the administrative process behind archives has strengthened with this experience. Other than this, I am happy to say that at Banting House National Historical Site, I have finished drafting the designs for each of the photos to be cataloged and now we will begin working on the actual design of the exhibit. We drafted up an idea, now it is all about designing it and then setting it up! There was not too much to cover this week honestly as I have been mostly studying so until next time, thank you for reading!
